Fall is the perfect time to enjoy the outdoors and
your area parks. Eight park or play facilities are conveniently
located throughout the Carrboro community. From the
54 acre Anderson Community Park to the smaller neighborhood
parks, Carrboro provides outdoor facilities for a variety
of leisure experiences. You can enjoy the outdoors as
you play horseshoes, tennis or softball, go fishing,
take a walk or have a picnic.
All park facilities (unless noted) are open from 7am
until dark, except for lighted facilities, which close
at 11pm.
For reservations - Insurance is needed if the
event includes major physical activity and moderate/severe
exposure to participants; expected attendance of over
500; large amounts of cash ($1000+) or quantities of
merchandise will be brought onto Town Property; and
food will be served, sold and/or given to the general
public. If the reservation requires insurance, the event
sponsor must sign the reservation contract to hold harmless,
defend and indemnify the Town of Carrboro, provide general
liability insurance with a minimum limit of $1 million
general liability coverage endorsed to name the Town
as an additional insured and provide a certificate for
documentation.

From the Baldwin Community
Garden group-
"The Baldwin Community Garden seeks members from
the Broad St. and Northside neighborhoods, and will
prioritize residents of those areas when allotting growing
beds within the garden. Gardening space is available
to members outside of the immediate neighborhood, however
registration for this group will take place after the
registration period for local residents. Residents from
our target area will be able to sign up first come first
serve until March 15th, after which point anyone from
the greater Carrboro/Chapel Hill community can join.
Membership outreach has consisted of direct soliciting
to the target neighborhood by existing members to neighbors
and door-to-door flyering. Success by these methods
have been limited due to the infancy of the garden until
now. We believe that continued outreach will result
in more local interest now that the construction phase
is completed, members are actively growing produce,
and we now have experienced Master Gardeners from the
Northside garden amongst out members. "
